Benefits
The kids program aims to build toughness, confidence, self-defence skills and agility. It is structured to cater to short attention spans and little growing bodies. This sets them up with a good foundation, from which they can build their futures on. The kids even get to compete in local karate tournaments regularly! |
Progression
|
We use a system of coloured belts to denote ability. Beginners start at white belt and slowly work their way up through the ranks, with 4 stripes to be earned per belt. The belts serve as an important marker of progress and provides tangible goals for students to pursue. Promotions are based solely on performance. The diagram shows the junior ranks (below 16yrs). Upon reaching 16 years of age, a child’s belt will automatically be converted to the equivalent adult rank.
